Ikina Jacket Variation

One of the most fun things that we doing right now is taking a new look at some of our patterns and rethinking the details. Although I love the Ikina Jacket with its side facings and openings, not everyone feels the same way about it. So just last week, Kathy made a beautiful Ikina out of a Chanel-like pink and black polkadot wool and lined it in another polkadot silk fabric. But the major change happened by lengthening the jacket to right above the knee, eliminating the side facings and sewing up the side seams.
