Kathy's Inventor Inspiration

We are so amazed and excited about the reponse to our Designer Challenge. The requests are pouring in and we can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. To add to the buzz, some of us are planning on reinventing our own Inventor. Here is what we have come up with so far.

Every since the challenge idea was put into place, our studio has been brainstorming.
Kathy has put together a mood board, pulling together all her inspirations for her Inventor garment.

The retro look is in, allowing us to take a look into the past. Old silhouettes are being reformatted and adjusted to fit today's changing environment. Kathy wants the look of a cocoon car coat, using her notorious washed wool jersey; see her other selections in jersey in our gallery. She invisions a rounded wide collar, with the inner band lengthened. This look will create a scarf using men's wear plaid.

Check back later this month to see what Kathy has come up with. Her work is impeccable, so I'm sure her garment will be impressive.

Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.
