Kathy's Inventor Jacket is complete!
Time is always escaping me, especially when I have a sewing deadline approaching. Try as I might, I never even started my Inventor Shirt. I had such inspiration, sketches, and even fabric, but the project wasn't accomplished. Kathy, on the other hand, has beat me to it! Even though her garment was a little late for entry in the Inventor Challenge, the finished product was worth the wait!
Kathy created her Inventor Jacket using Washed Wool Jersey in Jade. That fabric has become Kathy's trademark. In the past year she has created the most wonderful garments, in a beautiful range of colors, all from Washed Wool Jersey. It creates a Boiled Wool look, with wonderful drape and texture.

This jacket was lengthened 7" from the original pattern. She used a checkboard wool to face the sleeves, front and sewn on scarf. The scarf, which can be worn open or tied, was created as a rounded yoke with the sleeve. The collar band was left off, with a new rounded collar added. Great work!
Now I really need to get to my Inventor Jacket. I will make sure to post the results.
