Lightweight solid knit in a deep black. Create a classic little black dress using our Memphis pattern, or an eTee or Swing Tee. It has a soft hand and wonderful stability – there is no fussing with slinky knits with this fabric. The fabric is a lightweight jersey knit featuring a silky finish with about a 50% four-way stretch. This fabric is suitable for tops, shirts, dresses, skirts, lightweight cardigans, and knit pants.

What is Jersey Knit? Jersey Knit is created with a single weft knit, plain stitch. It typically has more stretch crosswise than lengthwise, so it fits the body closely. Jersey knit curls at the edges and you can find the “right side” of the fabric by looking at which way the fabric curls – it always curls to the right side.
