A caftan makes vacation-dressing (from deck chair to dinner time) a no-brainer. Even if there are no vacation plans in your future, comfortable at-home wear probably is. These flowy garments were popularized during the bohemian 1960s and they are enjoying a renewed vogue. This tutorial is also available in Sew Confident! Series Six.

You will learn to

1. Lengthen the Siena Shirt pattern.
2. Change the neckline shape and create a faced opening.
3. Embellish the neckline using hand-sewn embroidery stitches.
