Onde Coat Group
"Onde Coats. Theresa's animal print is a "muslin"! This is just the first batch, there are more in the works, including two who are using real leather. Lee, in the pink, started out as a timid seamstress with us this year but she's jumped in to the deep end and brings all kinds of things now, and loving it. She thanks you." Thanks Pat from her Sew Confident Group!

A little note from Paula: "I sewed purple shoestrings to the jacket and tied the buttons on with the shoestrings. Snaps behind the buttons actually hold the jacket closed -- not the buttons. BOOM!! Done."
Paula McPhee
Paula McPhee made this wonderful Onde Jacket. Here's what she had to say about the experience: "The fabric, which I bought from Satin Moon during our shopping expedition, is a black felted wool with white yarns couched on the surface. The ceramic buttons are a very deep red with black edges. I cut out the garment on the last day of the Getaway and pretty much whipped it up the following Saturday after returning home."
We love receiving photos of our customer's work. This grey and black wool Onde Jacket was created by Viola. Thanks!
A wonderful example of the Onde Jacket with additions and omissions. It's always great to see how customers adapt patterns. Details: handwoven tencel; recycled kimono silk binding and collar; beaded fagotting. Shortened; pocket omitted; faux cuff added. Thanks Stephanie!
Burnt Orange Handwoven Onde Jacket, using coordinating raw silk as side accents. This version of the Onde Jacket is 6 inches longer than the pattern.
Debi Tong Gray's Onde Jacket is made of red and black Japanese cotton with the slimming effects of a black linen/lycra blend fabric used for panels, back, and collar. The abstract design of this red/black textured fabric resembles calligraphic Japanese sumi-e brush work. The topstitching details and horn buttons add the accent color of silvery gray to this otherwise 2-toned garment.
What a great show in Novi, Michigan at the American Sewing Expo 2007. On Saturday Kathy wore the Now Shirt, Onde Jacket and the Mimosa Pants. This orange pintucked thai silk is from Bohemian Element. The black Onde Jacket in wool stretch twill is shown with the Mimosa Pant in a textured wool crepe.
The new Onde Jacket made from medium-weight Floral Cotton Upholstery fabric.
Kathy M. created this beautiful Onde Jacket using a cotton & wool fabric displaying an oriental motif.
