Stella Top in silk crepe
According to the Pantone Color Institute, we are going to be craving a flowery pinky-purple color in the coming year. After tavelling the world analyzing everything from cultural influences to fashion runways, Pantone announced Radiant Orchid as the Color of the Year. Add a vase or towels as your interior accents, and think about wearing this joyful and energetic color.
We keep track of the trends here at The Sewing Workshop, too. I realized that I had made three garments in this hue in the past few months. It's a subconscious thing really. It's like the time is right for a particular color. And while orchid shades are not my personal strength, I was really craving something new.
Look for this color as you plan your wardrobe, perhaps in small amounts. It won't take center stage as some colors in the past have, but think about it for a scarf, a trim, a tank, or a piece of jewelry. But if you can wear this color, go for it. Here are some looks.
